Celem pracy była charakterystyka warunków glebowych jednego z największych rezerwatów województwa małopolskiego – Doliny Racławki. Dolina charakteryzuje się urozmaicone geomorfologiczne krajobrazu doliny, jak również naturalne zespoły roślinne oraz wartościowe odsłonięcia geologiczne, takich jak rędziny czerwono ziemne (terra rossa) gdzie ten rodzaj rędziny występuje rzadko na terenie Polski. Teren rezerwatu jest zbudowany ze skał wapiennych, które powstały kilka milionów lat temu. Próbki do badań zostały pobrane z terenu Doliny Racławki oraz z terenu starego kamieniołomu w Dębniku. W celu określenia charakterystyki glebowej, prowadzono badania na odznaczeniu zawartości węglanu wapnia, węgla organicznego, odczynu pH, składu granulometrycznego oraz nieciągłości litologicznej.
